I am having an issue with changing the color of the sidebar when it is collapsed. I am able to manipulate the color of the sidebar when it is not collapsed, but once collapsed the default color is black and I am unable to change it to anything else.

Never mind, I found it. Line 11026 .sidebar::before, .off-canvas-sidebar::before { top: 0; left: 0; height: 100%; width: 100%; position: absolute; background-color: #FFFFFF; display: block; content: ""; z-index: 1; }

@michael.olson you can use the attribute data-background-color="white" and it will make the background white. Did you checked that? Best, Alex!

I did check that but the white was only affecting the sidebar when it wasn't collapsed. Once the screen size was minimized past the point to make it collapse the sidebar would then turn to black. If its working on a fresh template then I must have changed some code to undo the data-background-color="white".

We've checked and it is white also on the minimized size, here is an example: http://imgur.com/a/XCMQZ Did I get this wrong?

looks nice, i wonder if it works together with material kit components?

axelut
  • owner

Anonymous Tim thank you for your interest in our product. Our recommendation is that you should use them separately. The Dashboard for Admin/CMS part of your website and the UI kit for the presentation/landing/pricing/blog... pages. You don't have to place both products on the same page because your users will be either on a front page or on the Admin/CMS page. If you really want a specific component from one product to another, we have in documentation an example on how to move the SCSS and the javascript (it is having one). Please let us know if we can help you with anything else. Best, Alex!

How do I turn on notifications or have to press the preview button?

axelut
  • owner

@marcoscostta thank you for using our product. Can you please give us more details about what you want to achieve? In the meantime, you can also check the /documentation/tutorial-components.html and look for the "Bootstrap Notify" and you will see an example on how to show the notification.

Great JOB guys I really like this template. Just wondering if it was possible to sticky the footer. Bye.

axelut
  • owner

@kheops thank you for using our product. At this moment that feature is not implemented. We have an example on how to do the navbar-fixed on top: https://github.com/creativetimofficial/material-dashboard/issues/2, you can use the same steps and make it for the bottom, just add the bottom:0 on a ".footer-fixed" class or you can wait till Monday when we will be back at the office and give you a solution for that :D Also can you please let us know on which account you made the purchase? Best, Alex!

Hey there! This looks absolutely lovely! I'm currently at university looking to utilise an admin template for a potential client and am trying to work out which licence I need? The personal licence doesn't look like it will allow me to use it for them? It would just be a one off for them but do i still need to buy a developer licence? $200 just seems a little steep for one user and I don't really feel i can pass the cost on as I'm just stating out? Thanks!

axelut

@radeonorama thank you for your interest in our product. The Personal License allows you to use the product for you or for a single client, so you can get that license without problems. Please check more about the licenses here: https://www.creative-tim.com/license. I also added 15 credits on your account, as a gift from us for your first client :D Best, Alex!

If i buy the personal license, can i use this in my project which has subscription based service for users?

axelut
  • owner

@leo.interactives thank you for using our product. If your website is a SaaS, where people control anything and work with our dashboard, then you need a Developer License, if you just use it for you to manage your users/subscriptions etc. then a Personal License is enough. Please let us know if we can help you with anything else. Best, Alex!

Hi all, How could I set the navbar to be collapsed by default? Best, Bar

axelut
  • owner

@billy.san thank you for using our product. The navbar cannot be collapsed by default because it is part of the "Sidebar Menu" on the mobile screen when the default collapse is initialised. So technically you cannot separate that from the regular sidebar. Unfortunately, I didn't understand how that should work, can you please let us know what you want to achieve and if you have an example it would be great. Best, Alex!

billy.san

@axelut , thank you for your response! first I'd like to apologize I confused you, I wrote 'navbar' instead of 'sidebar'. The sidebar has two modes, default with icons and text on each <li> item and one where only the icons show (text is hidden). by clicking on the 'Home' button on the navbar you toggle these options. I just thought about having the slimmer sidebar loaded by default instead of the ones with texts along side the icons. Best, Bar

@billy.san got it now :-)) no worries. You can use the class ".sidebar-mini" on the body tag of the page. More details can be found in the documentation. Please let us know if that is solving the case :D

reza.ghorbani557 5 months ago

hi guys, how can use it in rtl mode?

axelut
  • owner

@reza.ghorbani557 thank you for your interest in our product. The best option would be to use the Bootstrap RTL: https://github.com/morteza/bootstrap-rtl then to move the sidebar from the left side to the right. Please let us know how the thing are going. We don't have anybody in our team who knows the RTL system but we will try to help you as much as we can. Best, Alex!
