Is this compatible with Paper Dashboard (non-pro version)? Can I just put all assets from pro to old one and to not need to change html of current to still works like currently do?

@wjoriuxg.yfw thank you for your interest in our product. PD Pro was built over PD Free, so technically they should work without problems. There are some new plugins in PD Pro so you need to make sure you include everything in your project. Please let us know if everything was working smooth with the migration. Best, Alex!

First of all, your work is amazing! I have a doubt, if I buy a 'personal' license for one current project and test the whole product and integration with my own workflow, could I 'upgrade' my license to PRO without having to pay for another license? something like paying the PRO price minus the Personal price I've paid before. Is something like that possible? Thank you for your information!

Heads up if you use font-awesome with this dashboard, it screws up the switches...

axelut

@christoffer.andersson thank you for using our product. We've checked for example the switches from this page: http://demos.creative-tim.com/paper-dashboard-pro/examples/forms/extended.html are made with Font Awesome and they are working fine. Can you please give us more details about the OS and the browser that you use? Also, a link to your web application will help us find the bug faster and we can give you a quick fix. All the best, Alex!

Awesome theme! Very clean and complete. Any plans to update this theme to Bootstrap 4? I understand Bootstrap 4 is still in alpha, but it would be nice to know if you have plans to update some or all of your products to the next version of Bootstrap.

@rodolfo.maspoch thank you for using our product. Yes, we have in plan to migrate all our products to BS4 and all the updates will come for free for the customers of BS3 version. We started to migrate our first UI kit GSDK: http://demos.creative-tim.com/get-shit-done/index.html 2 weeks ago. After we finish with this one we will know exactly how long a migration takes and we will create a timeline with possible dates of releases of the other products' updates to BS4. Best, Alex!

What is the difference between personal and professional versions?

axelut
  • downloaded

@chaa822 thank you for using our product. From the archive perspective, there is no difference between Personal and Developer License. The difference is only when you have the Developer License because that license allows you to build multiple projects for multiple clients while the Personal License allows you to use the product for your or for a single client. Please let us know if we can help you with anything else. All the best, Alex!

For the .sidebar is there something that needs to be done so the current selected item becomes active when it's clicked, or does this need to be done manually? - The idea behind this is that the .js code, provided by you, takes care of this automatically. Having to manually ad ".active" (and ".active .in" for sub-elements) for each possible page can be quite non-productive.

@aichholzer thank you for using our product. At this moment in the archive everything is done manually. There were also other persons who wanted that "Auto collapse" based on the links so we've talked here about the solution for another Dashboard that have the same structure as Paper Dashboard Pro: https://github.com/timcreative/light-bootstrap-dashboard-pro/issues/12 please follow it and then let us know if you need any further help. All the best, Alex!

@axelut I think you should make this clear up front. We've just purchased the developer version expecting everything to work out of the box, and now find we have to add this manually.

@matt.shepherd thank you for using our product and sorry for this. Since the product is a simple HTML/JS template, we taught the "active" part should come from the server. So for example in PHP or Rails or ASP.net you know everytime what is your current route before rendering the HTML, in this way you just add some "if else" statements and when you are on the right route, like "Dashboard" you just add the "in" and "active" classes to the elements that should be open. If you do this via javascript, as we later think of this, the menu will open only after the HTML is rendered which doesn't look so good for User Experience perspective. That's why we didn't want to include that option in the product. We will add this option in "OFF" mode, and when somebody really wants to, they can jus turn it on from javascript. Makes sense? Best, Alex!
