Premium Bootstrap Vue.js Admin Template

Product description

Vue Paper Dashboard PRO is a beautiful resource built over Bootstrap and Vue. It will help you get started developing dashboards in no time. Vue Paper Dashboard Pro is the Vue.js ported version of the Original Paper Dashboard Pro. Using the Dashboard is pretty simple but requires basic knowledge of Javascript, Vue and Vue-Router.
Vue Paper Dashboard was coded by Cristi Jora and the design was made by Creative Tim. It combines soft colors with beautiful typography and spacious cards and graphics. It is a powerful tool, but it is light and easy to use. It has enough features to allow you to get the job done, but it is not crowded to the point where you can't find the files for a specific plugin.

We like consistency and design that blends into its purpose. Vue Paper Dashboard PRO is a perfect example of our most thoughtful work. It combines Vue.js components and plugins, while looking like everything fits together. For an easy start or inspiration for you project, we have also create a set of example pages, like the user settings or usage graphics.

Vue Paper Dashboard PRO is built using the same design language as Paper Kit. You can easily use them together, or pick between them depending on the project you have.

Let us know what you think and what we can improve below. And good luck with development!

Getting started

Vue Paper Dashboard PRO is built on top of Bootstrap 3 (We are working on Bootstrap 4 too, it will be launched in a couple of weeks), Vue and Vue-router. . To get started do the following steps:
  1. Download the project
  2. Make sure you have node.js installed
  3. Type "npm install" in the source folder where "package.json" is located
  4. Type "npm run dev" to start the development server
The repo uses vue-cli scaffolding which takes care of the development setup with webpack and all the necessary modern tools to make web development faster and easier.

Npm tasks:

  • npm install or yarn install
  • npm run dev to start a local development server
You can find other npm tasks inside the package.json. We will list them here and explain what each task does
  • npm run dev starts a development server on localhost:8000 with live-reload
  • npm run build builds the app for production with javascript minification and versioning
  • npm run unit Runs unit tests located under test\unit folder.
  • npm run unit:watch Runs unit tests while listening for any changes in the project. This way you can develop new features and make sure that your old components work as expected without running unit tests every time.
  • npm run e2e Runs end to end tests. The command and the setup for end to end tests is provided by vue-cli. If you need and have the necessity to write end to end tests, feel free to write them under test\e2e folder
  • npm run test Runs both unit and end to end tests.

Frequently asked questions

You can use our products to create an application where the end user is charged with a monthly/annually subscription plan (SaaS - Software as a Service).
The Freelancer license is aimed at people who work on their own. It grants you the right to use the purchased product only for one project (either yours or for a client). This license is not compatible with SaaS-based projects.

The Startup license is aimed at smaller teams. It grants you and your team (up to 5 people) the right to use the purchased product only for one project (either yours or for a client). This license is not compatible with SaaS-based projects.

The Company license is aimed at agencies or larger teams. It grants you the right to create other licensed products base on the template that you purchase form us. This license it's compatible with SaaS-based projects.

The Enterprise license is aimed at large companies with multiple projects. It grants you the right to create any kind of software, SaaS, digital products and sell them. For restrictions, please check here

Also, the differences between our 3 types of Licenses is given by the Tech Support / Free Updates availability and Team Size.

More info here.
The differences between the Free and Pro products consists of the number of components, plugins, sections, pages in each.

More info here.
You can upgrade from one license plan to the next one whenever you want simply by paying the cost difference. You only have to send us an email in which you specify the product that you have and the Order ID. We will give you an unique coupon for the upgrade.

More info here.
Yes, of course! You can use the PRO product for an open source project if you add in the Readme file (on github) or in the description of your product that you built the project using “X product from Creative Tim” and a link to the product page.

More info here.
You don't have any restrictions using the Enterprise License; you just cannot create products or businesses that are in direct competition to us using our products:

  • You can’t re-distribute the Item as stock, in a tool or template, or with source files. You can’t do this with an Item either on its own or bundled with other items. You can’t re-distribute or make available the Item as-is or with superficial modifications. For example: You can’t license an item and then make it available as-is on your website for your users to download.

  • You can’t use the Item in any application allowing an end-user to customize a digital or physical product to their specific needs, such as an “on-demand”, “made to order” or “build it yourself” application. You can use the Item in this way only if you purchase a separate License for each final product incorporating the Item that is created using the application. For example: you can't create a website builder.
Depending on the License you purchase, you can use our products to either code a website/web application for you, for a client, or for multiple clients, which will be hosted on one or multiple domains:

  • For example, if you purchased the Freelancer License or Startup License, you can create only one website (for you or a client). Same, if you have multiple subdomains, like "test.yoursite.com" or "dev.yoursite.com", you can use the Freelancer License or Startup License.

  • If you want to create multiple websites, you will need a bigger License (like Company or Enterprise). Same, if you have a complex application like a SaaS and have "client1.yoursite.com" and "client2.yoursite.com" and "clientx.yoursite.com", you will need a multi-domain License like Company or Enterprise.
Depending on the License type you purchased, one or more developers (from your team, for example) can access the product:

  • If you purchased the Freelancer License, only you (one developer) can use the product.

  • If you purchased the Startup License, up to 5 developers (including you) can use the product.

  • If you purchased the Company License, up to 20 developers (including you) can access the product.

  • If you purchased the Enterprise License, you can work with a bigger team - more than 20 developers can access the product.
Here are the steps to give product access to your team members.
It consists of the product technical manuals like getting started, build tools, and it also describes every component with code examples.
It means that you receive access to the entire code for HTML, JS, and SCSS files depending on the different packages of each product.
When you buy our products you have access to our Support Team so you can submit any ticket to us regarding product functionalities and bug fixes (learning and tutorials related requests are not included). You will get responses directly from the product’s creators in 24 hours for regular Support and in a couple of hours for Priority Support (during business days).
Depending on your license type, you have a determined period when you receive product updates that include bug fixes and new features.

More info here.
Please send us an email at [email protected]. We will send you an upgrade coupon for your desired Bundle, and you will only pay the price difference.
Yes, you can. It is available for all Licenses type as long as the support included in the License is still valid.

Beautiful theme! One question: If I buy this now and develop my app with it. How much time will it take me to migrate to BS4 once you have updated it?

alexpaduraru
  • owner

@mattbz thank you for your interest in working with our product. If you keep the same HTML and Classes that we used in the Dashboard, it will basically be an instant conversion. We are building a converter which will take all the BS3 code and migrate it to BS4 code. If you change things, we will also provide a BS3 to BS4 update guides. Which probably won't take longer than 1-2 days to manually move everything. Hope this helps. Best, Alex!

@alexpaduraru Thanks for the quick answer! I'm pretty new to Vue and those kind of templates. If I plan to modify/extend the Paper Dashboard components to fit my needs. Is this easily doable?

cristi.jora

@mattbz Most of the components should be fairly easy to modify. We have a set of custom components like radio, checkbox etc and some re-styled components from element-ui http://element.eleme.io/#/en-US/component/installation which generally have a lot of features and don't need customization.

Do you have an ETA for the BS4 update of this theme? I see other BS4 Themes on this page so I hope it's not too far away.

cristi.jora

@mattbz We could update the theme right away to BS4, but creative-tim is developing a BS3-BS4 converter so people can update their projects as well rather than the theme only. Indeed it is not very far away.

달마.권 6 years ago

Hello there? I have some question. We are hope to using this theme. So, Can I using CRUD in this grid system with vue.js(2.0)? if it can be impossible, Also Can I use datatables(jquery plugin)?

달마.권

likewise this Kendo-Ui Grid http://www.telerik.com/kendo-ui/grid

Hi there @달마.권 The theme doesn't restrict you on the tools that you can use. For example, the calendar is based on a jquery plugin, while other components are custom or from element-ui. I would suggest a Vue based solution (e.g http://element.eleme.io/#/en-US/component/table) since you can customize it more easily (other vue table components https://github.com/vuejs/awesome-vue#table) If nothing from there is sufficient then you could use kendo or whatever plugin your are comfortable with.

This is beatifull theme, Do you use a bootstrap 4? or do you have a version that works with this?

alexpaduraru
  • owner

@ricardo.coronadoperez thank you for the kind words. We are using Bootstrap 3 at the moment and we are working for a BS3 to BS4 converter which will help in the conversion process. Hope we will have something stable in a couple of weeks. Best, Alex!

Does this dashboard has the modal function (because I didn't see it)? It's kind of important. If there was, sorry I missed it.

cybercying

Also, does this template support iPad? I just tried with my iOS 7 iPad it doesn't seem to render anything......

Hi @cybercying We used sweet-alert as modals. https://cristijora.github.io/paper-dashboard-pro/#/components/sweet-alert If you need modals with more custom content, I can recommend http://sweet-modal-vue.adepto.as/ or http://element.eleme.io/#/en-US/component/dialog

cybercying Regarding iOS 7, this is kind of an oldish version for iOS but my guess is that it requires some polyfills to work (mainly Promise polyfill) I added those already in the repository because it was not working on internet explorer because of this as well. There should be a new release next week and we can test if it works on iOS 7 after polyfills are included.

Not sure if this has been requested, but is there a way to collapse the sidebar menu items? Like, a button where you click on it and it would only show the icons corresponding to the menu items? Also thinking if this would play well though if you have sub-menu items. Thanks,

cristi.jora
  • downloaded

@angeloaa If I understand you correctly, there is such a button already https://cristijora.github.io/paper-dashboard-pro/#/admin/stats There is a rounded button with 3 dots on the left of the search input. If you click it, the sidebar is collapsed and only icons are shown. If you have menus/submenus, then only abbreviations or icons of submenus are shown. By default there is a hover event and the whole sidebar expands when you hover it. If you want to keep it small, you can remove the hover event from the code. (_sidebar-and-main-panel.scss line 430)

Yes @cristi.jora , this is what I was looking for. Apparently I have the old build, hence, this feature did not show up. Thinking of ways now where one can subscribe when new features for the pro are being rolled out. Thanks.

@cristi.jora if I buy this theme today, do I get access to the BS 4 version when it is released? When will the BS 4 be released?

Hello, Can I update to Element UI 2.0 without problems ? ?

cristi.jora
  • downloaded

Hi @miranda.w.sam We just released v1.1.0 which uses element-ui 2.0.0 You could check out the docs , General Tips -> Migration Guide. If you don't want to do that or don't have time, you could upgrade to element-ui 2.0, add the sass files from v1.1.0 (you can download it now) and change ` "styleLibraryName": "theme-default"` to `"styleLibraryName": "theme-chalk"` in .babelrc file

I did a little refactoring to get the framework to run nicely with newer updates to perfect-scrollbar, element-ui 2.0, as well as converted the sidebar into Vuex for state management. Is this stuff included in the free version that can be added as a contribution? On the same note is there someway I can contribute to the pro version that I've purchased? Figured it might be helpful for those getting into Vue with Vuex and those that are already using more advanced libraries.

Hi @abeagley That sounds very awesome! I did an update yesterday including some package updates as well as update to element-ui. I would say that we can discuss on discord (#9375) or if you are in the vue channel already https://discordapp.com/invite/HBherRA you can search by "cristij"
