Premium Bootstrap Vue.js Admin Template

Product description

Vue Paper Dashboard PRO is a beautiful resource built over Bootstrap and Vue. It will help you get started developing dashboards in no time. Vue Paper Dashboard Pro is the Vue.js ported version of the Original Paper Dashboard Pro. Using the Dashboard is pretty simple but requires basic knowledge of Javascript, Vue and Vue-Router.
Vue Paper Dashboard was coded by Cristi Jora and the design was made by Creative Tim. It combines soft colors with beautiful typography and spacious cards and graphics. It is a powerful tool, but it is light and easy to use. It has enough features to allow you to get the job done, but it is not crowded to the point where you can't find the files for a specific plugin.

We like consistency and design that blends into its purpose. Vue Paper Dashboard PRO is a perfect example of our most thoughtful work. It combines Vue.js components and plugins, while looking like everything fits together. For an easy start or inspiration for you project, we have also create a set of example pages, like the user settings or usage graphics.

Vue Paper Dashboard PRO is built using the same design language as Paper Kit. You can easily use them together, or pick between them depending on the project you have.

Let us know what you think and what we can improve below. And good luck with development!

Getting started

Vue Paper Dashboard PRO is built on top of Bootstrap 3 (We are working on Bootstrap 4 too, it will be launched in a couple of weeks), Vue and Vue-router. . To get started do the following steps:
  1. Download the project
  2. Make sure you have node.js installed
  3. Type "npm install" in the source folder where "package.json" is located
  4. Type "npm run dev" to start the development server
The repo uses vue-cli scaffolding which takes care of the development setup with webpack and all the necessary modern tools to make web development faster and easier.

Npm tasks:

  • npm install or yarn install
  • npm run dev to start a local development server
You can find other npm tasks inside the package.json. We will list them here and explain what each task does
  • npm run dev starts a development server on localhost:8000 with live-reload
  • npm run build builds the app for production with javascript minification and versioning
  • npm run unit Runs unit tests located under test\unit folder.
  • npm run unit:watch Runs unit tests while listening for any changes in the project. This way you can develop new features and make sure that your old components work as expected without running unit tests every time.
  • npm run e2e Runs end to end tests. The command and the setup for end to end tests is provided by vue-cli. If you need and have the necessity to write end to end tests, feel free to write them under test\e2e folder
  • npm run test Runs both unit and end to end tests.

You can use our products to create an application where the end user is charged with a monthly/annually subscription plan (SaaS - Software as a Service).
The Freelancer license is aimed at people who work on their own. It grants you the right to use the purchased product only for one project (either yours or for a client). This license is not compatible with SaaS-based projects.

The Startup license is aimed at smaller teams. It grants you and your team (up to 5 people) the right to use the purchased product only for one project (either yours or for a client). This license is not compatible with SaaS-based projects.

The Company license is aimed at agencies or larger teams. It grants you the right to create other licensed products base on the template that you purchase form us. This license it's compatible with SaaS-based projects.

The Enterprise license is aimed at large companies with multiple projects. It grants you the right to create any kind of software, SaaS, digital products and sell them. For restrictions, please check here

Also, the differences between our 3 types of Licenses is given by the Tech Support / Free Updates availability and Team Size.

More info here.
The differences between the Free and Pro products consists of the number of components, plugins, sections, pages in each.

More info here.
You can upgrade from one license plan to the next one whenever you want simply by paying the cost difference. You only have to send us an email in which you specify the product that you have and the Order ID. We will give you an unique coupon for the upgrade.

More info here.
Yes, of course! You can use the PRO product for an open source project if you add in the Readme file (on github) or in the description of your product that you built the project using “X product from Creative Tim” and a link to the product page.

More info here.
You don't have any restrictions using the Enterprise License; you just cannot create products or businesses that are in direct competition to us using our products:

  • You can’t re-distribute the Item as stock, in a tool or template, or with source files. You can’t do this with an Item either on its own or bundled with other items. You can’t re-distribute or make available the Item as-is or with superficial modifications. For example: You can’t license an item and then make it available as-is on your website for your users to download.

  • You can’t use the Item in any application allowing an end-user to customize a digital or physical product to their specific needs, such as an “on-demand”, “made to order” or “build it yourself” application. You can use the Item in this way only if you purchase a separate License for each final product incorporating the Item that is created using the application. For example: you can't create a website builder.
Depending on the License you purchase, you can use our products to either code a website/web application for you, for a client, or for multiple clients, which will be hosted on one or multiple domains:

  • For example, if you purchased the Freelancer License or Startup License, you can create only one website (for you or a client). Same, if you have multiple subdomains, like "test.yoursite.com" or "dev.yoursite.com", you can use the Freelancer License or Startup License.

  • If you want to create multiple websites, you will need a bigger License (like Company or Enterprise). Same, if you have a complex application like a SaaS and have "client1.yoursite.com" and "client2.yoursite.com" and "clientx.yoursite.com", you will need a multi-domain License like Company or Enterprise.
Depending on the License type you purchased, one or more developers (from your team, for example) can access the product:

  • If you purchased the Freelancer License, only you (one developer) can use the product.

  • If you purchased the Startup License, up to 5 developers (including you) can use the product.

  • If you purchased the Company License, up to 20 developers (including you) can access the product.

  • If you purchased the Enterprise License, you can work with a bigger team - more than 20 developers can access the product.
Here are the steps to give product access to your team members.
It consists of the product technical manuals like getting started, build tools, and it also describes every component with code examples.
It means that you receive access to the entire code for HTML, JS, and SCSS files depending on the different packages of each product.
When you buy our products you have access to our Support Team so you can submit any ticket to us regarding product functionalities and bug fixes (learning and tutorials related requests are not included). You will get responses directly from the product’s creators in 24 hours for regular Support and in a couple of hours for Priority Support (during business days).
Depending on your license type, you have a determined period when you receive product updates that include bug fixes and new features.

More info here.
Please send us an email at [email protected]. We will send you an upgrade coupon for your desired Bundle, and you will only pay the price difference.
Yes, you can. It is available for all Licenses type as long as the support included in the License is still valid.

Hi @cristi.jora. I am having problems getting Postgres working with this template. I have installed pg via node and have it imported. I am wondering if I am not importing it correctly? Do you have an example of how to import it? I am getting the error: "net.stream is not a constructor". Thanks in advance!

Hi @bensonraik Correct me if I am wrong but from what I know, postgres (a.k.a postgres sql) is a database which has pretty much nothing to do with frontend. Considering that there are thousands of packages, it might be something else in your case so code samples would help. You could also open an issue here if it's related to the template https://github.com/creativetimofficial/vue-paper-dashboard-pro/issues

Hello, I just start working with the PRO version which seems to be very neat. I had some table formatting based on the free version (papertable.vue) which doesn't format correctly now with the pro version. It seems that the bootstrapped table doesn't display correctly anymore. Is the latest version of the PRO version still uses Bootstrap 3 or only Element-UI? And if it is only element-UI, have you included the whole css or only some parts? By the way, i have also remove the dependency to jQuery which shouldn't be in such a nice template ;) Thank you for your help

Hi Anonymous Tim Thanks for the appreciation and I hope it will help you deliver the product faster with this template. The PRO version uses a single solution for tables which is Element-UI tables. I would recommend it against the PaperTable component since that component is intended for basic use-cases. You could open an issue on github (Report an issue button here) and explain a bit more what exactly is wrong. Regarding your second question, element-ui is used partially (on demand import) and some of the components are restyled a bit so they have a more "paper" look and feel. Tables, however don't have too much extra styles since element-ui tables already had a very similar look to what this theme offers. Regarding your last question, I kind of agree on the jquery part. The problem is, that we have 2 plugins (calendar and world map) which don't really have good "Vue" alternatives yet. Because of that, jquery was imported async only in those 2 components. If you don't use the calendar, then it's totally fine to remove the jQuery dependency. Thank you for your attention and feedback!

Is there a more specific release date for the bootstrap 4 version of this kit?

alexpaduraru
  • owner

@tim9uo thank you for your interest in our product. Unfortunately, we encountered some issues in the synchronization of the development for PDPro HTML BS4, which made us switch the focus from BS4 of Vue PD Pro to the launch of Vue LBD Pro on Bootstrap 4 (https://www.creative-tim.com/product/light-bootstrap-dashboard-pro). This new launch will be at the end of this month. Hope this information helps. Sorry for the inconvenience and delay. Best, Alex!

cristi.jora

@miranda.w.sam It should be possible. I will do some tests today and provide an example. I will probably include some unit tests in the next version with this exact example (3 level menu)

@miranda.w.sam Just confirmed that it doesn't work out of the box. There is one little adjustment that needs to be done. If you need 3 levels, you could add this <sidebar-item v-for="(subLink, index) in link.children" :key="subLink.name + index" :link="subLink"> </sidebar-item> at line 30 in Sidebar.vue in case you have defined the links in sidebarLinks.js From this version, there is also the possibility to declare the sidebar links via components/templates. You can take a look here https://github.com/creativetimofficial/vue-paper-dashboard-pro/blob/master/CHANGELOG.md There is a code sample at the end. This option would be the most flexible and you can add as many levels as you need or customize the look and feel without changing the core Sidebar component.

It worked with the following code: <sidebar-item v-for="(subLink, index) in subLink.children" :key="subLink.name + index" :link="subLink"> </sidebar-item> "in subLink", "not in link'. Thank you !

Hey, guys thanks for this template I like it and I think you did really great job. But there is one thing what I am missing here. It is loader. Eg. loader between API calls and rendering components if you know what I mean. I didn't find it anywhere. It would be great if you add it. ;)

cristi.jora
  • downloaded

Hi Anonymous Tim You can use the loader from element-ui http://element.eleme.io/#/en-US/component/loading It can be used as a directive on any html element or can be invoked from the code if you want a full screen loading.

i want to my data from api in tables can you guys let me know how to do this in https://cristijora.github.io/paper-dashboard-pro/#/table-list/paginated

cristi.jora
  • downloaded

Hi @ashish.chikkara Here is a jsfiddle with an example which includes pagination and per page options https://jsfiddle.net/usdhrcLa/32/ It uses element-ui component for pagination but you can use the pagination component provided in the template in pretty much the same way. Instead of providing static `tableData` you can get it from an api and store it locally

Hi, I found that there is a bug in [email protected] (el-select element run lots of afterDestroy events) so I updated to element-ui 2.0.5 what fix bug but I got problems with styles. After npm run dev I got message: "element-ui/lib/element-theme-default/table-column.css in ./~/babel-loader/lib!./~/vue-loader/lib/selector.js?type=script&index=0!./src/components/Dashboard/Views/Users/Users.vue" Can you please help me to setup babel to read right css? Many thanks

cristi.jora

Hi Anonymous Tim This is due to the fact that element changed their main theme. You might want to update to the latest dashboard version https://github.com/creativetimofficial/vue-paper-dashboard-pro/blob/master/CHANGELOG.md which includes and update to element-ui 2.x as well as style updates for it. If you need a rapid fix: 1. Go to .babelrc file and change `theme-default` to `theme-chalk`. 2. Update element to 2.x 3. Download the latest dashboard version and copy the sass files.

Hey guys, I have a quick question, Does anyone has used a button with position:fixed with this template?, I'm having trouble setting that because my fixed button works in Firefox, but it doesn't work with chrome mobile.

alexpaduraru
  • owner

@enrique.enciso thank you for using our product. At this moment we are using an inside scroll for ".main-panel", which has a height of 100%, that means when you scroll, it basically scrolls inside the main-panel, not on the body of the page. We will fix this in a future version. What I can recommend for this moment is to add the fixed button outside of the "main-panel", that will allow it to stay fixed and not move with the scroll. Please let us know if that was working fine for you. Best, Alex!

Hi @roshanshrestha01 Unfortunately no one has encountered this error. Opening an issue on github (Report an Issue button here) would be better in this case so we can have some code samples as well.
