Hi there, I'm trying to do some housekeeping on the dependencies, I was just wondering if you had any advice on updating, there seems to be some issues with material-ui/icons in with the customDropdown component: "index.js:1437 Warning: Failed prop type: Invalid prop `buttonIcon` of type `object` supplied to `CustomDropdown`, expected `function`." I'll keep looking for the problem but please let me know if you guys already have the solution, thanks :)

Oh actually it seems like the problem is rather that there is a functional component using a ref instead of a useRef hook, still trying to find it though, seems like a strange problem to get after an update...

Ok so I got rid of the error by removing the ref="cacat" from the <ClickAwayListener> component...can you tell me if there is any reason why i should not be doing this /:

Hello, You don't use in any of your React project, the component ThemeProvider from Material Ui. I notice you put the style in css as jss, and I like that me too. But do you have to explain the fact you don't use mui ThemeProvider ? (just in order to make my thoughts official :D) Great product it rocks ! Thomas.

Hello there, @thomasumaitre . Thank you for your interest in working with our products. Last year, when we've developed our first Material-UI product, the ThemeProvider was very hard to use with our complex styles. As you can see in our product, we have very complex styles. The ThemeProvider was only giving us very few arguments to work with, and was not enought for our styles. Hope this explains a bit our choice. Best, Manu.

Hi. How can I make a component sticky on the left hand side like the side bar here? https://react-sticky-box.codecks.io/#how-to-install So it needs to be sticky on the left, but underneath the sticky header. Unfortunately that react-sticky-box component doesn't work with yours so I can't use it. (I accidentally asked this question on your dashboard product, but I meant it for this one).

Hello there @gerardflanagan . I think you could use: https://material-ui.com/components/drawers/ . Or you could take the free Material Dashboard React (https://www.creative-tim.com/product/material-dashboard-react) product and integrate that component with this product. At the moment we do not have time to help you do that integration. Best, Manu.

Are there any examples or pointers to how to create a serverless Contact Us page? Ideally I would like to use AWS SES since I have that part already working through an API gateway URL but any implementation is fine as well. Thanks, -Derek

Is the pro template already using the material-ui v4 notation with react hooks or has it still class notation like the free version? Can't work with the free version because its incompatible with the material-ui v4 documentation but would upgrade to pro version if it has it.

Hello there, @christophrus . Thank you for your interest in working with our products. The PRO and FREE versions are built exactly the same (You can check the documentation). So the answer to your question is no. Best, Manu.

@einazare Do you have any plans to convert the theme to hooks syntax in near future?

Hello again, @christophrus . We want to convert all of our themes to Hooks. But for the moment we want to get some feedback on these two products: <<https://www.creative-tim.com/product/paper-kit-react>>, <<https://www.creative-tim.com/product/paper-kit-pro-react>>. When we'll have enough data, we will decide for sure if we will convert all of our themes to use hooks. Best, Manu.

I am wondering about the use of jquery and bootstrap in this theme? I thought it was based upon material-ui components and react only, allowing react to manage the DOM via the virtual dom. The use of jquery here makes me think this is not the best choice for react?

einazare

Hello there, @gregookf3u . Thank you for your interest in working with our products. None of our React products are using jQuery. Maybe you have downloaded another version of this product. Best, Manu.

Hi @creative-tim team, I am really appreciate for your work hard and created this Material UI kit, i bought it already. But i'm newbie in reactjs, i am trying to learn more, during this time, i have found a very good boilerplate, it's react-boilerplate, they config and make sure reactjs run as SSR. So i have a question. How can i integrate Material UI kit to that boilerplate, because in your document, i only saw the way to integrate this UI kit into create-react-app. I am very happy if you guys can help me to make a guide for react-boilerplate, because i think a lot of react developer need to run app as SSR. Thank you so much and have a good day!

Hello, I'm very passionate about Material kit PRO React and I have an important question about this package. I'm going to design a website using your product and actually CEO is crucial for me. So, I want to know if your product support SSR.

einazare

Hello there, @beyraghdarijan , and thank you for your interest in using our product. We haven't used CEO or SSR in none of our products and can't really answer your question. But I am going to tell you what we've told to a lot of our users that wanted something in our products that we haven't used, you can try our free version of this product and see if it suits your needs. Hi, I am currently developing a beta version of a website using the React Material Kit free version. I am planning to upgrade to the Pro version soon. My question is: are components of the Pro version compatible with the free version? Thanks, Jean
