It may sound complicated or you may be inclined to procastinate, but every step of the way is now made easier. Creative Tim's Coming soon page is a step in that direction. It is seasy to set up and customise to your needs. And it will help your customers get the main idea you are trying to create!

We encourage you to create honest connections with your potential clients. Take the first step and create a coming soon page, you've come to the right place!

Technical

The main focus behind the Coming Sssoon page was usability and customisation.

We covered a number of different uses for the page (standard website, application, video example and a restaurant custom page). Whatever your use is, we think you will find one that fits your needs.

The next step is getting the look you want to the page. We added custom filters (standard black, blue, green, orange, red) that give an edge to the page. We can't want to see what you choose and use! We adjusted the transparency of the filters so any image can look good. Go ahead, try and use your own! You'll see how great it looks with our design.

For more technical support, please visit tutorial page. We made a detailed description for every step you have to take to use this awesome freebie! If anything is missing or unclear, don't hesitate to let us know.

@alexpaduraru I think you misunderstood. I don't want to use the coming soon page on Wordpress. I wanted to know if I can use the coming Sssoon page anywhere else other than magneto. I want to use it as a coming soon page for a magneto store

alexpaduraru

Ok, i've got it, I think you can use it in magento too, we don't know exactly how this can be integrated in magento, but Coming Sssoon Page come as a HMTL/CSS/JS combination so you can adapt it for any platform.

Thank you. I have just attempted to do it, the images are not showing up so just trying to work that out. What I really wanted to ask was how I change the page name? I used the 'Restaurant' template. Once I have uploaded the page, it shows up as 'Restaurant' in the browser tab rather than my site name.

Find the <title></title> tag inside the <head> tag and change with the name that you want.

I really like this template, but I ran into an odd problem. I used the social media buttons to link to my Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts. Works fine on a desktop and iPad, but nothing happens (except a change in color) when I click on any of the buttons on an iPhone. Thoughts on what would cause this?

@axelut Hi, it's http://swimtwobirds.nyc. I set the icon color to yellow, but have now restored it to white (too little contrast), but it makes no difference. The links work on a desktop (Safari, Chrome) and iPad, but not an iPhone.

I'm testing it on iPhone 5S and when I tap on an icon it opens the page and on iPhone 6 when I tap, the first time is taking as a "hover" action and when I tap the second time on the same icon it opens the page. That's really weird because in the first case the Tap is triggered as a "click" and on iPhone 6 the first tap is triggered as a "hover" state. I think we have to add the jquery touch library to check more on which action is triggered on different devices. The problem is that at this moment we are very busy with Light Bootstrap Dashboard PRO and Paper Kit PRO, so we will come back to this issue as soon as possible.

@axelut Yes, I was using an iPhone 6. Didn't try tapping the icons twice, which as you say will open the new page. Odd.

@jasonmarc Important to realize that Tim has agreed that the social media connections/icons (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) in this theme do not work as intended on an iPhone 6, and that he has also said that he has other priorities at the moment than to fix this. If you want people who use an iPhone 6 to access this theme, and give them a link to your social media accounts, this theme is not a good idea until this gets fixed.

Hello, Great template! I want to get the dev license so I can offer building coming soon pages for clients but am not very experienced with html and css, I have managed to download the free template and change all the backgrounds, colors, and even the fonts so am extremely chuffed with myself but for the life of me I cannot get to grips with getting the email sign up to work unless I follow the mailchimp guidelines you have written, but is there no simple way to just get the sign ups sent to my email address each time someone signs up without having to go through setting up a mailchimp account. This would also help me with setting up a landing page as I assume the contact us form would be a similar approach. Thanks so much!

Anonymous Tim we are glad that you like it. We recommended the MailChimp option because it has the "double opt it" mail, which is a good practice because the user who is subscribing is getting an email where he confirm that he is the guy who has the email and he really want to subscribe there. It is the best option if you don't want to use backend scripts written in PHP, Ruby, C# etc.

After reading some tutorials I now understand I will need a php file. You should consider including the php file for your templates in the download for people like me with little to no experience.

alexpaduraru

Anonymous Tim you're right, how I specified in the latest comment, you can do that with PHP too, but we didn't want to constrain the user to use a specific backend language, and we gave them the MailChimp tutorial. Your idea is very good, if you want to share what you created and give it to the other users, we would be glad to add it in the download archive.

@alexpaduraru , I am still learning the basics of PHP so have not been able to get a working PHP file yet, but hopefully in a week or so I will have one working and will gladly share it. Thanks for the fast responses and your site has made me want to learn html and PHP as I used to be a wordpress guy but it becomes very expensive buying themes and limits the creativity. So yeah. Thanks again for inspiring me to become more than just a one click installer when it comes to creating websites. :)
