Hey Guys, is there a angular version for this dashboard?

einazare
  • owner

Hello there @jefersonanjos . Thank you for your interest in working with our products. At the moment we do not have an angular version for this product, my colleagues from the Angular Department are stuck on some other projects. I am not sure what timeline to give you, but maybe my colleague @chelaru_ciprian will come to your help with this. All the best, Manu.

question.. maybe i just got tired or so... but the "brand naming" does not work for paths with dynamic patterns.. like "/profile/:id" ? I mean the "Default Brand Title" where the component name should appear. Instead of :id component. what is mentioned there - is its parent. if so, could you please let me know where and what to change?

well got really tired lol. if you didn't get the question. on top left part of the page, there is page title. Like "dashboard/ buttons etc"... when using dynamic path like profile/:id ... it does show the name of the component with path of "profile" and disregards the dynamic part. how to solve it. also one more question. i do have dev pro license. how do i reach the support? on support page, there is no "send ticket" option.

Hello there, @acj. Thank you for your interest in working with our products. The brand is set inside the <<src/layouts/Admin/Admin.jsx>> file, inside the <<getActiveRoute>> function. Between lines 96-115. We've created this function as demo purpose, for you to see how each page looks with a different brand name. Go ahead and change this function with your own needs. Best, Manu.

What's the best way to force the sidebar to be expanded by default? Side question, but not the main one, is there a way to persist the sidebar setting even when someone refreshes the page? Or needs to be handled through cookies?

einazare
  • owner

Hello there @matthew7nk . Thank you for your interest in working with our products. For the second question, I believe it is best to use cookies - to be honest, being a front-end dev I am not really sure how you would do this. For the first issue, you need to go inside your index.html and remove the "sidebar-mini" class from the body, also you will need to `src/layouts/Admin/Admin.jsx` and change `sidebarMini: true,` to `sidebarMini: false,`. Best, Manu.

What is the deal with the completely ridiculous means of styling the sidebar? Who made this call? Seriously, this is probably one of the most key design elements, and you've made it a complete pain in the ass to modify the style, starting with the background color. Yeah, I get that you have that cute switcher, which nobody is going to end up using in a live site, but, those colors all suck, and it should be a LOT easier to modify this element. Just my $.02.

Hello there, @wkhatch . Thank you for your interest in working with our products and sorry for this inconvenience. You can actually change all colors using SCSS/SASS quite fairly. Please read our live docs here: https://demos.creative-tim.com/black-dashboard-pro-react/#/documentation/tutorial . Here are some insights of where you can find the scss/sass variables: https://demos.creative-tim.com/black-dashboard-pro-react/#/documentation/build-tools . Best, Manu.

I disagree. There's so many instances of using this mixin gradient nonsense that it's not trivial at all. Furthermore, you've also tightly coupled your opinionated routing such that modifying that, or, even just adding a route without having a link for it is a pain. I appreciate all the work that went into designing the components, but using this template as a starting point for an app is guaranteed to be a painful process. Also, your docs are pretty weak. Your canned response indicates you don't understand the issue I pointed out in the original post, at all.

Hello again, @wkhatch . Really sorry that you think I didn't understand your issue. I thought my first answer was enough. Maybe this answer will help you better? You are saying that you do not understand the mixins, this leads me to believe that you do not know scss that well. We've forgotten to mention in our live docs that you can use our css instead of scss. We kept both, scss and css in our product so that if you are familiar with scss you can work with scss, if not, you can easily start using css. Again, we've forgotten to mention in our live docs, that you can change our routing system with something static if you may (in our next update we are going to add these two in our live docs, so less confusion will happen). We've actually taken the routing system from the https://reacttraining.com/react-router/ tutorials, I will admit that we've used it in a bit more complex component, but the principles are the same. Here are some links that can help you understand scss/sass a bit better: <<https://sass-lang.com/guide>>, <<https://www.w3schools.com/sass/>> and <<https://medium.com/quick-code/top-tutorials-to-learn-sass-and-scss-33e4dcd63e9b>> (the last one features 10 sass/scss tutorials). Also, here are some tutorials about sass/scss mixins: <<https://marksheet.io/sass-mixins.html>> and <<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3wXqwX4nu8I>>. I am pretty sure that the first tutorials will have examples of mixins as well, but wanted to give you these as well. Also, please take a look at the tutorials provided by reacttraining about react routing: <<https://reacttraining.com/react-router/core/guides/philosophy>> (I am only giving you this link, but please use the left menu to see all the tutorials). Hope these bits of information will help you, and make you change your mind. Best, Manu.

Hi, if I wanted the default mode to be the light skin, where would I add the "white-content" class in the code? I've found places to do it, but the page quickly flashes black then white. However, that may be due to my getting the light/dark setting from the server, but wanted to check where would be the best place to place it. Thank you! Matt

Hello there, Matt ( @matthew7nk ). Thank you for your interest in working with our product. You should add the mentioned class inside the public/index.html file, on the body tag. Best, Manu.
