@axelut I'm assuming that, if I want to use options from the original plugin (ajax autosuggest, etc), my best approach would be to not apply the "tagsinput" class, and simply initialize the tags plugin myself, using an ID. Something like - $('#mytags').tagsInput({ autocomplete_url:'http://myserver.com/api/autocomplete' });". Does that make sense?

@mjclemente yes, you're right! You can customize with any options if you initialize them like that.

@axelut Sorry to keep bombarding you with questions and suggestions. Just one more idea; it would be nice to have matching styles for the tag auto-suggest. Right now I'm stuck with the jqueryui defaults (ugly). Thanks again for the awesome product. Love it. It really is beautiful.

@mjclemente no worries, ideas are good for improving the product. We added on the list to check and adjust the design for the autocomplete.

@axelut Could you point me to some page-load animations, compatible with this theme. TIA!

axelut

@thesinetyst thank you for using our product. If there will be more requests for preloaders we will integrate them in a future update. Till then you can use this website: http://jxnblk.com/loading/. Probably those will be the preloaders that will come by default in LBD Pro.

@axelut: is there a way to toggle the sidebar in md/lg mode. Example: http://bootsnipp.com/snippets/featured/nav-sidebar-with-toggle-button

axelut
  • owner

@thesinetyst at this moment we don't have that implemented, but it is a good ideea. I think it will be something like this burger menu:http://demos.creative-tim.com/rubik-agency when we will implement it. Is that something that you are thinking at?

@Axelut: Sure, currently I'm using a a jQuery based workaround which isn't very smooth.

@axelut Hi, why can't I see the top navbar's dropdown when I'm on mobile or on a small sized navigator. It used to work in the free version :( Also the sweet alerts in the demo are not working for me.

axelut
  • owner

@jacques.legall thank you for using our produt, it is supposed to appear on the right area under the burger menu. Please send us a link to your website so we can check it and the sweet alerts and give you a quick fix. Please check also the developer console and tell us if there appear any error messages.

Excellent work @axelut, I switched over to the Pro version last night, just before deployment (no choice). I loved your new login/register pages so much that I trashed my old ones (that use GSDK) and used your LBD ones. I then removed GSDK entirely since it is now redundant since LBD pretty much contains everything from GSDK (GSDK has more cards). Looking forward to your error pages, I won't bother doing anything special in the meantime since I know they are coming. Since I am a developer and not a web designer your work is incredibly useful to me, I love it! Keep up the good work.

@edward.groenendaal we are glad that you love the pages :D It depends on where you work, if you need more items you can use GSDK for the presentation, then for the backend statistics you can use LBD. How we already said, there will be 100% compatibility between those 2 items. The error pages and other useful widgets will come soon, we are collecting more feedback at this moment from the users who use the Free and the PRO versions to see which are the items that they need. Keep in touch!

I needed a lightbox widget in LBD, there wasn't one, I used featherlight (MIT license) http://noelboss.github.io/featherlight/ It worked well with LBD. E.g. adding a lightbox to the profile image was as simple as data-featherlight="{image name}" on the img.

@ed.groenendaal it's good that you achieve what you need very fast. Is it too complicated to obtain the same effect using the bootstrap modal: http://getbootstrap.com/javascript/#modals? Should we include a lightbox by default in LBD Pro?

I did try using the bootstrap modal first, I wasn't happy with the presentation, I was having to do too much CSS to make it presentable - having to do much work isn't why I use your toolkits! :) The reason I love your toolkits (this is the 4th project I've done using them) is that I can concentrate on the back end rather than the front. So, yes, I think a lightbox is a valuable addition. LBS (and GSDK) already have a modular approach to what is included (only include the JS if you are using that plugin), However you do have to pull in all of the CSS (unless you edit the sass files). I'd like to see the components in the documentation explicitly listing the JS file that must be imported. I tend to start with none of them, and only add them as-and when things don't work - which does waste a bit of time.

Some files have the wrong permissions. The red ones are "executable" files. http://dropshare-juanda.s3.amazonaws.com/gEcIfwgGXu.png

axelut
  • owner

@juanzuluaga Thank you for your image, we will check why they are appearing as "executable", they are just regular SCSS files which are used by a SCSS/SASS compiler to generate the final CSS. Can you please tell us which code editor are you using? We would like to test it and see why the files appear in that way. It's the first time when we hear something like this about the SCSS files. Keep in touch.
